Love Birds by Satyam Prem

Recently I read the book by Satyam Prem titled Love Birds and here’s my small review over the book. I received the book from the author himself for the honest review, so here it begins.

The first thing that I noticed was the book cover. It was a decent one and then I turned over to read the blurb. Blurb is interestingly, talking about a small incident of the book and hence doesn’t actually reveals a lot about the plot. It just makes you aware that you’ll encounter two characters in the book named Vikram and Vibha.

The book is basically I really short read, just about 110 pages, so it took me just 1.5 hours to complete the book but not in a stretch.

The story starts with Shivansh sitting in a park with his girlfriend named Avni. In the very first chapter, they encounter the breakup. After that the main character meet 2 more girls while going through various life incidents and then finally he meets the love of his life, Vibha. That makes the blurb even more exciting. The two name mentioned in the blurb are actually not the main characters of it. Firstly, this actually annoyed me on various level but then, as the book is pretty short, I guess the author actually pulled a great trick there. The story of the book is engaging and keeps you guessing till the very end.

Now talking about the downfalls. The book is badly edited and the proofreading is totally a mess. There are misplaced inverted commas, missing full stops, basic grammar mess-up and many more things.

At last, I would like to conclude by saying that the book could have been a great read if the editing part was good. In short the story is good but the presentation is little messed up.

I’ll rate the book 3 out of 5 and would like to read more from the author in near future.
