Liar by K.L. Slater will surely slaughter you with the twist that comes at the climax of the book and that’s the whole and soul of the book. From the very start of the book, the author promises to deliver something un-expectable and just to know that climax, you got through the whole process and believe me that twist is worth going down the 300-page book.
The story is about Judy, a 50-year-old lady who is worried about the relationship of her son, Ben, who is falling in love with a lady named Amber. Amber is having some secret and Judy is suspicious of Amber. Ben’s wife died only 2 years ago. Ben is having two children and Amber is taking great interest in the children and that makes Judy go nuts. The story could have easily been thrown into a ‘saas-bahu’ drama but the author is really intelligent to keep it away from that category.
I am surely going to read more from the author and would like to rate this one as 4 out of 5 stars.
